I am a resident of Delhi and because Ajmer is close to Delhi, I decided to cover the distance by car. I went to Ajmer with 2 of my friends.
The Dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti is the main attraction in Ajmer. The experience of visiting the Dargah is out this world. The moment you enter the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, you can feel that the place is divine. You feel that God is walking beside you and as I have mentioned in the title of my article, it is indeed a spiritual experience.
When you enter the Dargah, you feel a positive energy all around you, which is all-consuming. You suddenly start feeling warm and calm inside.
There is no tourist attraction as such in Ajmer and it is famous mainly for this Dargah. People from all over India visit this Dargah, as it is very pious. This Dargah is a must-visit destination in Ajmer.
The other attraction in Ajmer is the Brahma temple in Pushkar. Some of the other attractions are Mayo college and Prithviraj Chauhanís fort, which is located on a hill.
As I am a Delhiite, I know most of th3e details of reaching Ajmer form Delhi. You can also take a train from Delhi to Ajmer, as it is a comfortable 6 hour journey. The places around the Dargah are buzzing and Mango masala is a good option in food.
The shopping areas in Ajmer and Pushkar are good and we get beautiful rajasthani clothes and artistic pieces there.
