I am a resident of Delhi. I had gone to Ahmedabad for some work and I visited the dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti on my way back from Ahmedabad to Delhi. I had heard a lot about the dargah, so I wanted to visit it for sure, but it was only after I reached there that I realized how pious the place is. There experience of visiting the dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti, was incomparable. The most beautiful thing about the dargah is that people from all walks of life, visit the Dargah. The devotees, who had flocked to the dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti, were people from various religions, castes, creed and genders. There wasn’t any segregation of people in the Dargah and once I visited that place a sudden realization came upon me which made me feel that all human beings are equal when it came to bowing in front of God. There were quawwaalis being sung in the background which took the whole experience of visiting the dargah to a different level. The whole experience of listening to the quawwaalis was divine. One cannot escape the fact that, once we are in the dargah, we realize that faith has got nothing to do with caste, creed, religion and gender. Ajmer is a very serene place and it is located at the foot of the Aravalli range. One should not miss the son halwa that we get in Ajmer, as it is a famous sweet here.
